With all the food scares around in recent times, it is nice to know there is still somewhere you can go, that provides fresh home made food and preserves. That place is your local country market, well over half of our markets have a local meat producer attending each week, selling all kinds of fresh cuts, as well as sausages, faggots and bacon. All our producers have an up to date hygiene certificate. So if you are looking for a place to buy your food direct from the producer this is the place for you.
It costs only 5 pence to become a member of a local Country Market Society. We in Dorset are always more than happy to welcome new producers and products to our markets. We also have many members who just come along and help with the running of the market, so you see you don’t have to make something to sell, to become part of our community, and meet new people.
